Context:
Climate change is forcing cities to make smarter decisions, faster.
For the City of Prague, that meant using Esri’s GIS technology to understand where climate interventions would have the greatest impact. By combining layers of spatial data – including satellite imagery, population density and planning regulations – the city identified its most vulnerable areas and prioritised action where it mattered most.
The video turns a complex technical process into a clear, compelling story, showing how data-driven decision-making is helping create a greener, healthier and more resilient city.
The campaign generated more than 460 leads, reached an audience where over 60% of viewers were C-suite executives, and was showcased to more than 16,000 attendees at Esri’s annual conference.
The Brief:
Esri needed a customer success story that demonstrated the real-world value of GIS in tackling one of today’s biggest challenges: climate resilience.
The video needed to show how Prague was using spatial intelligence to make evidence-based planning decisions, while demonstrating how GIS can help organisations achieve ambitious sustainability goals.
Alongside engaging existing Esri customers, it was designed to inspire public and private sector organisations facing similar challenges to see GIS as a strategic tool for better decision-making.
Approach:
The best technology stories focus on the outcome, not the technology.
Working closely with Esri, we developed a documentary-style narrative that balanced technical credibility with a human story. Together, we shaped a video that clearly explained how multiple datasets came together to identify climate hotspots and guide targeted interventions across the city.
Filming on location in Prague, we combined cinematic aerial footage, ground-level visuals, expert interviews and animated GIS data to make complex information easy to understand. In the edit, we brought everything together into a concise, engaging video that demonstrates the practical impact of spatial intelligence while reinforcing Esri’s position as a trusted partner in sustainable urban development.
